Virginia Mitigation Sites
|
Marsh Resources Potomac River Mitigation Bank currently consists of four bank sites in Fauquier County, Virginia. These sites include the Licking Run Bank Site, the Pandora Farm Bank Site, the Great Oaks Bank Site and the Crooked Run Bank Site. The majority of each of these sites consists of restored/created, forested wetlands (PFO) and riparian buffer establishment and or preservation. Construction on all four sites is complete and each site will be monitored for a minimum of 10 years. There are currently wetland and stream credits available from these sites. The service area as well as the bank site locations is shown on the service area map below. Marsh Resources will assist in agency negotiations for use of these sites to satisfy wetland impacts within the service area. The price for credits is based on market demand. The prices for mitigation credits includes land costs, design, permits, construction, maintenance as well as the funding of endowment accounts to provide for the long term care of these properties. As of March 2005 Marsh Resources is in the study phase of a new project in Loudoun County, Virginia. Marsh Resources is currently looking for potential mitigation sites within the service area.
